Indian Automobile industry is in exciting phase of growth . Period of monopolistic brands are over and new vibrant and competitive markets has emerged recently with consumers lapping up the best offers .

Rise in disposable income and standards of living for approx four million middle class population

Government liberalisation of economy from license raj .

Indian automobile industry is the tenth largest in world and is expected to be third largest by 2016 and the turnover would increase from 7 billion USD to 40 billion USD by 2016

The industry manufacturers over 11 million vehicles a year, employing more than three million people . India emerged as Asia s fourth largest exporter of automobile after Japan , South Korea and Thailand.
